Who we are

Handovera ("we", "us") provides a tool that helps UK homebuyers and renters document property defects and generate inspection reports. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and an encrypted password.
• Report content: property address, the developer or landlord name you enter, your name, the rooms you inspect, and the defects, notes, and photos you upload.
• Payment data: handled directly by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. We retain a payment confirmation tied to your account.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) used to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use your data

• To provide the service: creating, editing, generating and downloading your report.
• To process your one-time payment via Stripe.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To detect, prevent and respond to abuse, fraud or technical issues.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your reports or photos to train AI models.

Where your data is stored

Account data, report content and uploaded photos are stored on managed infrastructure in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. Payment data is processed by Stripe in accordance with their own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We keep your reports for as long as your account exists so you can re-download them. You can delete a report at any time, or contact us to delete your account, after which we will remove your personal data within 30 days unless we are legally required to retain a record (for example, tax records of payments).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to certain processing. Contact us at hello@handovera.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to operate the checkout. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
