Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or paying for a report on Handovera you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Handovera is a self-service tool that helps you document the condition of a property and generate a written report (a Move-In Report or a Snagging Report). The reports are produced from the information and photos you provide. Handovera does not carry out a physical inspection on your behalf and is not a chartered surveyor.

3. Pricing and payment

Each report is sold as a one-time purchase at the price shown at checkout. Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe. After payment is confirmed you will be granted access to the report builder for that report.

4. Refunds

Because each report unlocks immediate digital access, refunds are at our discretion. If the service genuinely fails to work for you and we cannot resolve the issue, contact us at hello@handovera.com within 14 days of purchase and we will issue a full refund.

5. Your responsibilities

• You must be 18 or older and have the right to inspect the property you are reporting on.
• The information, descriptions and photos you upload must be accurate and your own.
• You may use the generated report for your own dealings with your developer, landlord, agent or solicitor. You may not resell the service or use it to generate reports on behalf of paying third parties without our written agreement.

6. No warranty of outcome

Handovera helps you document defects and present them professionally. We do not guarantee that any developer, landlord or agent will accept, act on, or rectify the items in your report. Outcomes depend on your contracts and the parties involved.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Handovera is limited to the amount you paid for the report in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any cost of repairs, deposit deductions, lost rent or disputes with third parties. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

8. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to bypass payment, upload illegal content, or otherwise breach these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or via the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
